As always Im looking forward to another season of Big Fish and happy,smiling anglers. I want 2008 to be my best season ever, this in my 10th year as a Maine Guide and Charter Boat Captain. NEW PICS FROM 2006, 2007 AND Finally 2008! here they are:

Well we caught our first tuna of the season on Thursday. It weighed 275 pounds estimated, the tuna buyer "forgot" his scale. I'll bet that the dressed (minus head, tail, guts) weight will be 225lbs. It was 85 inches, caught on anchor on a tuna charter. The angler was Alex and his buddy Mike (both from Wake Forest Univ.) gaffed the tail for tail wrapping. I know its not a tackle buster, but it might be the best fish of the week. Id like to see it in the paper. I have many pics and heres one of me and the guys wives. Chris, the mate on the boat set the hook on the fish and I harpooned it, it was really cool fight with a combined effort by the 4 guys aboard. A fine day at sea, we also landed 2 blue sharks.

Right below are some new shots from the 2004 season. This is my eigth year in the charter business. Its been a blast, I truly enjoy seeing people catch big fish.

A 20 pounder for a great angler, this trip we had over 7 double hookups! Look at the head on that fish!
In Maine we have a "slot size" for Stripers. The bag limit is one fish per angler per day, between 20 and 26 inches or one a day over 40 inches.

Here's a great sight! 288lb Maine Tackle Buster Mackeral Shark, also called a Porbeagle Shark. A great fish on a great day. We can't wait to get back out and try for another one of these beauties.
